B-The Underwater Bubble Show ::

B-The Underwater Bubble Show Date: Tuesday April 23, 2019
Time: 6:30 PM
Location: Coronado Performing Arts Center

Tickets

Following your dreams and allowing your inner child to take over for a while is the premise of B-The Underwater Bubble Show, performing at Coronado Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, April 23, 2019.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10am CST via Ticketmaster.com, by calling 815-968-5222 or by visiting the Coronado PAC or BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.

Inspired by childhood standards like Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan, B-The Underwater Bubble Show is a modern fairy tale with one major twist. “Each classic tale represents a journey of a kid who grows up and learns something,” explains co-creator and director Enrico Pezzoli. “We wanted a story about an adult character who discovers that he can still go back and enjoy life. We don’t always need to grow up. Sometimes we need to step backwards for a bit and restart.”

The show follows Mr. B, a creature of modern habits who “always feels pressed by a thousand things to do in a world that seems to be moving too fast.” The office worker discovers a little aquarium that appears like magic inside his briefcase and gradually becomes enchanted by the wondrous underwater world of Bubblelandia, which is full of seahorses, dragon fish, starfish, mermaids and other creatures. “Mr. B represents each of us,” Pezzoli notes. “His transformation is a journey which each of us could take ‘only if’…everyone dreams about the possibilities of taking a break to sit, relax and simply daydream.”

Taking cues from Cirque du Soleil, the visually spectacular show incorporates the latest in stage technology. Lasers, low ground smoke and flying foam simulate waves and the underwater atmosphere. A juggler in a huge plastic ball is the performer that immediately attracts Mr. B and the audience into Bubblelandia’s wondrous world, while dancers and acrobats serve as “small colorful fish chasing Mr. B and each other inside the aquarium. The main character is played by skillful actor/mime exaggerating his gradual transformation from stressed out modernity to blissed out wonder. However, the biggest attraction of the show is the spectacular use of soap bubbles in multiple artistic ways. Creators Pezzoli and bubble artist/spouse, Dace Pecoli have toured the world as a duo act for nearly twenty years working with the form, including a performance at Sochi Olympics. “I have directed other big performances in the past, but “B” is our first independent big production,” Pezzoli explains.

“The biggest challenge was to make everyone understand that the show is for everyone. Many people only relate it to kids, but everyone loves bubbles. After performing in so many countries around the world, we have seen adults enjoying the show as much as kids, sometimes with even bigger reactions.” Developed over two years, The Bubbielandia journey debuted in October 2011 with a pair of shows in Italy that drew in more than 5,000 spectators. It has since toured major theaters across Switzerland, Kaliningrad, Indonesia, Russia and Lebanon revised and enriched version made its UK and UAE debut in 2015 at the Blackpool Tower Circus and the Al Rayyan Theater in Doha, Qatar respectively. In 2016 the show toured the United States for the first time selling out nearly 2/3 of their performances over a 2 month tour.

“Our main goal was to produce a show that could tour the world without any barriers, especially language, “Pezzoli explains. “We involved many elements of theater that could work without speech, like mime, puppets, physical comedy and sand painting, while adding visual special effects. Even in parts of the world where the culture may be different from our own, the result is always the same, with everyone cheering and applauding.”

Time: 7:30 PM
Location: Coronado Performing Arts Center

The multi-genre superstar also recently shared his brand-new single, “Heartbreak,” available everywhere now (LISTEN HERE). “Built on an energetic acoustic-guitar riff and driven by a propulsive country-pop rhythm” (Rolling Stone), the unexpectedly optimistic track throws “a love-song’s curveball at the traditional breakup narrative” (Paste). Even Hayes’ tour highlights the plot-twist within “Heartbreak”; Closer To You comes straight from the song’s chorus: “If it gets me to you then it ain’t wasted time / With every so close I’m closer to the rest of my life / Another bad first date, another nothing left to say / What I mean is, the way I see it, I’m one heartbreak closer to you.”

In 2018, Hayes released his unflinchingly honest and introspective song “Dear God,” that to date has accumulated over 22 million streams globally. With Rolling Stone calling it an “anthem for the anxious,” Taste of Country also declared: “leave it to Hunter Hayes to release a song that speaks the truth.” Hayes also shared the unfiltered track “One Shot” that Billboard praised for being an “instant party anthem” that’s “highly relatable…with the uplifting, hopeful tone that’s a signature of his music.”

The Louisiana native has achieved over 1 billion on-demand career streams globally and three chart-topping singles, including his 5x multi-platinum crossover single “Wanted,” which received a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Solo Performance in 2013. The massive crossover hit, featured on his2x multi-platinum debut album Hunter Hayes, is well beyond 120 million streams on Spotify alone and became his first No. 1 single on the country airplay charts; solidifying him as the youngest solo male artist to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in over 40 years. The self-titled debut has accumulatedover half a billion on-demand streams in the US alone and also includes the platinum-certified No. 1 “Somebody’s Heartbreak,” the 2x multi-platinum “I Want Crazy” and the gold-certified singles “Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me” and “Storm Warning.”

Back Again as ‘RBRM’: Multiplatinum Pop/R&B Icons Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, and Mike Announce Spring 2019 ‘RBRM—4 The Love Of It Tour’

Fresh off their much buzzed-about debut as RBRM last Fall, the Grammy Award winning members of New Edition will return to the stage in 2019 with the 4 The Love Of It Tour— new dates throughout the U.S. announced

One of the most legendary groups in pop/ R&B history will return to the stage this Spring—with an explosive new twist: New Edition’s Ronnie DeVoe, Bobby Brown, Ricky Bell, and Michael Bivins are joining forces once again as RBRM. The iconic, multi-platinum performers are set to embark on the RBRM- 4 The Love Of It Tour this Spring, making a one night stop at the Coronado Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30PM.

Playing to sold out arenas nationwide, the Grammy Award winners first made their debut as RBRM last Fall, winning praise from press and fans alike. Now RBRM is back again for 2019—with an all-new lineup of performances.

The 4 the Love Of It Tour will bring the RBRM experience to fans around the country, with shows in cities including Orlando, Cleveland, Atlanta, Kansas City, Brooklyn, Birmingham, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Cincinnati and many more. Booked by Jeff Epstein and Universal Attractions Agency (UAA), the Spring 2019 tour will kick off on April 26, and will run through July 26, 2019.

RBRM will also heat up some of this Summer’s hottest festivals during the tour, taking the stage at both the 2019 Essence Festival, and the iconic Cincinnati Music Festival in July. Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike have become fan favorites at the Essence Festival for their show-stopping performances there throughout the past decade— including last year’s record-setting event, which drew more than 500,000 attendees. This year, they’ll return as RBRM, bringing a brand-new energy to the Super Dome stage.

RBRM will close out the tour with a performance at the legendary Cincinnati Music Festival. With its all-star line-up of performers, the event is the area’s largest tourism weekend of the year, drawing R&B fans from around the country. RBRM will hit the stage at the Paul Brown Stadium on July 26.

Showcasing the pop/ R&B trailblazers as never before, RBRM-4 The Love Of It brings the artists’ legendary 41-year careers to life in a whole new way. The record-shattering catalogue of hits audiences know and love from New Edition, BBD, and their individual solo acts are remixed, reimagined, and reinvigorated on stage, giving fans a fresh take on their timeless favorites.

The group’s debut tour, The RBRM Tour, which ran throughout Fall 2018, earned accolades from media around the country in its initial run last Fall. Reviewing the group’s Ontario, California show, The Precinct Reporter said, “From the time RBRM hit the staged until the house lights came on, no one was in their seat. Not even for the slow songs. The RBRM sound took the crowd back to when the NE sound was new…The RBRM concert in Ontario solidified their influence in old school music.”

“Backed by a live band a large crew of dancers, the group’s reinvention, which blended the biggest hits from Brown and BBD, was a win,” said The St. Louis American in their review of RBRM’s St. Louis, Missouri show. “The result was something all four could be proud of.”

Over the past four decades, Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike have left an indelible mark not only on the music industry— but on millions of fans around the world. Their standout vocals, dynamic choreography, and unstoppable stage presence helped New Edition become one of the most successful touring groups of all time. More than that, by pioneering the Boy Band craze, they created a classic sound and style that forever changed the landscape of popular music.

KANSAS ::

KANSAS Date: Friday May 10, 2019
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Coronado Performing Arts Center

Tickets

America’s preeminent progressive rock band, KANSAS, will be touring select cities in the United States and Canada next spring, expanding the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of their massive hit album Point of Know Return. For the first time in history, the band is performing the album Point of Know Return in its entirety and more, making a one night stop at the Coronado Performing Arts Center on May 10, 2019. The tour showcases more than two hours of classic KANSAS music including hit songs, deep cuts, and fan favorites. Tickets and KANSAS VIP Packages for most dates go on sale to the general public Friday, October 19, 2018.

The first leg of the KANSAS: Point of Know Return Anniversary Tour premiered September 28, 2018, in Atlanta, GA. The tour has already performed to large and enthusiastic audiences in Atlanta, GA; Nashville, TN; Glenside, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Milwaukee, WI; and Chicago, IL

In 1977, KANSAS followed up the success of Leftoverture by releasing the album Point of Know Return. Containing the smash hit and million-selling single “Dust in the Wind,” along with fan favorites such as “Portrait (He Knew),” “Closet Chronicles,” and “Paradox,” Point of Know Return became the band’s greatest selling studio album. The album peaked at #4 on Billboard’s Album charts, reached sextuple-platinum status with more than six million copies sold, and had three Billboard Hot 100 singles.

“After the success of the album Leftoverture, it was hard to imagine when we released Point of Know Return that this album would be even bigger, but it was,” comments KANSAS guitarist, and original member, Richard Williams. “From the album artwork to the song ‘Dust in the Wind,’ the album Point of Know Return is really ingrained in Rock N Roll history and even in popular culture.

For two years we played around 80 select shows performing the album Leftoverture in its entirety.  We have been blown away by the positive fan response.  Our hope is that fans will enjoy this Point of Know Return Tour just as much, and hopefully even more! So far, that has been the case and we hope to continue it!“

Throughout the tour, live shows not only culminate with the album Point of Know Return performed in its entirety, but KANSAS also performs classic hits, deep cuts, and fan favorites.  The band has not publicly performed some songs in the more than two-hour KANSAS musical event in decades.

KANSAS lead vocalist Ronnie Platt adds, “I often joke that I cannot be in charge of putting together a set list, because there are too many songs that I really want to perform.  These shows, though, will be about as close as it gets.  Of course, there will be hits like ‘Carry On Wayward Son,’ but to know we will be performing songs that KANSAS has not performed live for twenty or thirty years, or even ever, that is just really exciting. It is going to be a lot of fun.”

KANSAS is currently comprised of original drummer Phil Ehart, bassist/vocalist Billy Greer, keyboardist David Manion, vocalist/keyboardist Ronnie Platt, violinist/guitarist David Ragsdale, guitarist Zak Rizvi, and original guitarist Richard Williams. The band continues to perform in front of large and enthusiastic audiences around the world.

Tickets for KANSAS go on sale Friday, October 19 at 10am. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, the BMO Harris Bank Center and Coronado PAC box offices, and by phone at 815-968-5222.

Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Coronado Performing Arts Center

Tickets

Hailing from Utah, ThePianoGuys became an Internet sensation by way of their immensely successful series of strikingly original self-made music videos. They’ve made over 65 since joining forces in early 2011, including their hit video, an innovative 10-handed version of One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful.” But it’s the Guys’ highly original blend of classical music with pop that has really been the cause of an Internet phenomenon that brought them to their major label self-titled debut album released on Sony Music Masterworks in 2012. This release was followed by their sophomore album, ThePianoGuys 2, holiday album, A Family Christmas, Wonders, ThePianoGuys Live! and recently released Uncharted album all available now on Portrait, an imprint of Sony Music Masterworks. ThePianoGuys have performed everywhere from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to The Today Show as well have been featured in The New York Times, Fast Company, Buzzfeed, People Magazine, Mashable and more.
